Various Artists - Brazil 45: Mr Bongo x BADBADNOTGOOD (2025)
This compilation is an RSD physical exclusive, so you will have to take the time to grab a copy, or listen to the playlist on YouTube. The group behind BADBADNOTGOOD curate their collection of Brazilian artists from pop, folk, rock, and jazz. It flows beautifully, and I would really recommend checking out these artists, too.

Masta Ace Incorporated - Sittin' on Chrome (1995)
This is a really entertaining and substantive hip-hop release from a collective that could have become the next big thing, had it not been for the East & West coast rivalry. It's got the bass-knocking bangers, the sickening sample flips, and each member brings their A-game. I highly recommend reading the Quietus article, where you get a more complete story on the making of the album and how it shaped Ace's career.

e-Dancer - e-Dancer (2025)
Kevin Saunderson is the mastermind behind e-Dancer, and is one of the OGs of Detroit-style techno. Twenty-five years later, he's joined by his son, Dantiez, for another thumping round of techno hits. There's a crisp and seasoned finesse that translates into every groovy beat. It's a joyful dance between the old and the new, and it's been one of my favorite electronic listens in 2025.

VHS Midnight Style - that is america (2021)
I must admit when I first heard this album, I was puzzled. VHS Midnight Style transitioned from a chill, instrumental beat project to an icy cloud rap persona, fully clipped with a uniquely glitchy and amorphous swagger. Each song melts and sizzles like cherry Pop Rocks. Four years on, this has grown on me as I've grown accustomed to their later projects, Cognitive Dissonance2, Caiman, and the recent one, life's a zoo.
